The UN data on refugees  reported that the Syrian Civil War caused a huge increase of Syrian in 2012 and 2013 .  Prior to the civil war, the total numbers of refugees that fled Syria have been consistent within 15 thousand to 20 thousand a year.  For example, in 2011 -- the year in which the civil war started in Syria, the total number of Syrian refugees was 19, 931 and in 2010, the total number of refugees that fled Syria was 18, 452.  However, in 2012 the number of Syrian Refugees increased to just under a million, at 748, 927 and in 2013, it tripled to have a total of 2, 468, 346. In The Guardian article written by Mona Charlabi, she had stated that, "the UN expects by the end of 2013 there will be 3.5 million Syrian refugees..." Even though 3.5 million refugees were not helped by 2013, the  UNHCR   summary indicates that total number Syrian refugees had increased more in 2014, 2015 and so forth. The last data update I published on June 26th, 2017, had been incorrect due to the “decreased number of refugees leaving Syria”.   The number of refugees was wrong, as I had the “sum of count” instead of the the “sum of total refugees and people in refugee-like situations”.  Also, regarding my last blog, I had mentioned that “...certain countries in Europe had to take steps to not take-in and accept any refugees in their countries for security measures and due to the amount of refugees they’ve already acquired;” I did not mean, nor wanted to impose that refugees are “dangerous and/or imposed a threat to other countries”.  There are many articles like the one provided by CNN indicating that some European countries had stopped or tightened their laws with regards to accepting more refugees, due to the amount they they have already accepted within their countries.   With the updated data provided above, the United Nations reports that there’s been an i...
